This blog is a culmination of two forever-bakers who have spent countless hours reading about, thinking about, and dreaming about baking delicious treats in our spare time. After taking a few cake decorating classes, our interest has soared to no end. While living and working in the same city has been a sweet treat in itself, a move across the state has spawned the desire to keep in touch by taking our love of baking and everything kitchen to the next level. So wipe your feet on the mat and stay awhile!

Wednesday Wishes: Picnic Goodies

Unfortunately in Texas 100 degree days with 100% humidity and not a cloud in sight to hide you from the scorching sun are right around the corner. This means that we all need to get out and enjoy the weather while there's still a chance that you won't pass out from heat exhaustion after being outside for twenty minutes.  To help you enjoy these days here are a couple of options to class up a picnic.

First up is the Daddy Warbucks of picnic baskets.  This little gem boasts porcelain plates for eight, handblown wine glasses, a stainless steel knife along with a cutting board, salt and pepper shakers, cotton napkins, a blanket, and the list goes on and on and on.  The price tag on this is a little hefty, but if you're looking to impress someone, this is definitely it.

For those of you that would rather spend your money on a beautiful leather Coach handbag than on a picnic basket, this basket is colorful and a lot more economical.  It may not come with a thousand accessories but it does have a liner that keeps things hot and cold!

Lastly, this bag from Crate & Barrel not only is insulated but it totally folds down for storage!  Perfect for the house that's already busting at the seams because one member of the family has bought just one too many Christmas decorations.....guilty as charged.
