This blog is a culmination of two forever-bakers who have spent countless hours reading about, thinking about, and dreaming about baking delicious treats in our spare time. After taking a few cake decorating classes, our interest has soared to no end. While living and working in the same city has been a sweet treat in itself, a move across the state has spawned the desire to keep in touch by taking our love of baking and everything kitchen to the next level. So wipe your feet on the mat and stay awhile!

Pumpkin Mousse

Ok, I know the classic Thanksgiving dessert is pumpkin pie.  But sometimes you just need a little something else.  Or maybe you're trying to use up some leftover pumpkin.   Or maybe you're just a little to lazy to get your rolling pin out this year.  Don't worry, this is a non-judgemental blog.  And I'm here for support.  Here's a little pumpkin mousse to jazz up your holiday this year.

Pumpkin Mousse
adapted from Taste of Home

1 1/2 cups milk
1 package (1 oz) instant vanilla pudding
1/2 cup canned pumpkin
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
1/4 teaspoon allspice
1/2 cup whipped topping

In a large bowl, whisk milk and pudding until combined.  Let stand for 2 minutes or until slightly set.  In another bowl, combine pumpkin, cinnamon, ginger, and allspice.  Fold pumpkin mixture into pudding.  Fold in whipped topping.  Refrigerate until ready to serve.
