This blog is a culmination of two forever-bakers who have spent countless hours reading about, thinking about, and dreaming about baking delicious treats in our spare time. After taking a few cake decorating classes, our interest has soared to no end. While living and working in the same city has been a sweet treat in itself, a move across the state has spawned the desire to keep in touch by taking our love of baking and everything kitchen to the next level. So wipe your feet on the mat and stay awhile!

Oven-Baked Wedge Fries

For some reason when I was a kid I hated french fries.  It legitimately took me years to realize how delicious deep-fried potatoes can be, and took me even longer to realize that fries are definitely not an every day food.  Thankfully these potato wedges are baked and are a semi-healthy substitute to go along with really anything.

Oven-Baked Wedge Fries

3 large baking potatoes
1 tbl. olive oil
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. paprika
1/8 tsp. pepper
2 tbl. parmesan cheese

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.

Cut each potato in half and cut each side into 8 wedges (you'll have a total of 48 wedges).  In a large ziploc bag combine the oil, salt, paprika, pepper, and parmesan cheese, add the potatoes and shake until all of the wedges are covered.

Place the wedges in a single layer on a greased baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes, turn them carefully then bake for 15-20 minutes longer or until browned and cooked through completely.
