This blog is a culmination of two forever-bakers who have spent countless hours reading about, thinking about, and dreaming about baking delicious treats in our spare time. After taking a few cake decorating classes, our interest has soared to no end. While living and working in the same city has been a sweet treat in itself, a move across the state has spawned the desire to keep in touch by taking our love of baking and everything kitchen to the next level. So wipe your feet on the mat and stay awhile!

Baked Sunday Mornings: Peaches and Dream Pie

This Sunday we're baking up a Peaches and Dream Pie over at Baked Sunday Mornings.  The pie couldn't be simpler, and comes together in a jiffy.  The recipe uses canned peaches, a delicious sauce to pour over the peaches, and a brown sugar crumble to put over the whole thing.  I really wanted to enjoy this pie because it was so darn easy.  I can see the potential, but my pie came out all kinds of wrong.  The top was over baked, the bottom was under, and by the next day the whole pie was swimming in water that I assume came out of the canned peaches.  Oy!  I think with a few tweaks this could be a great dessert.  But despite all the problems I had, the flavors were still pretty good.

Head over to the Baked blog to check out other member's pies!

Sorry this didn't work for you! I made it but decided not to post since my pics were awful!

I was also frustrated with the bottom of my pie being undercooked. This recipe does seem like it should have so much potential!

I agree - I really wanted to enjoy this pie! I was surprised we weren't supposed to pre-bake the crust. My custard never set, so mine was runny from the start - what a bummer!
