This blog is a culmination of two forever-bakers who have spent countless hours reading about, thinking about, and dreaming about baking delicious treats in our spare time. After taking a few cake decorating classes, our interest has soared to no end. While living and working in the same city has been a sweet treat in itself, a move across the state has spawned the desire to keep in touch by taking our love of baking and everything kitchen to the next level. So wipe your feet on the mat and stay awhile!

What to do with all those Christmas cards

Here's a simple idea for all those Christmas cards you have laying around. This really kills two birds with one stone. It cleans a minuscule amount of the Christmas clutter you have laying around, and organizes that file of recipes you've torn from magazines or jotted down. What's not to love here? This can be done with any greeting card and anytime of year, so get clippin'.

You'll need Christmas cards or other greeting cards, scissors, a glue stick, recipes you've typed up, written down, or torn out, and a pen. This is not rocket science. No special tools needed.

Start by cutting a card in half. You'll want to save the front half of the card.

Find a recipe that's a little smaller than the card.

And then glue that puppy on to the back of the pretty picture that adorns the front.

I like to write what occasion I received the card for. And who gave it to me.

Now when looking for that perfect recipe for the pot luck, each card you flip through will have some kind of meaning or memory. And your recipes will look snazzy to boot!
